Hello fam! Today has been a continuation of many activities this week. Painting continued around campus and much concrete was mixed.

The real excitement came after we had our usual break for a
delicious lunch. Half our group took the opportunity to go to the infirmary, a place where disabled and elderly people are cared for by the state. This is an eye opening experience for many people. We went out of our comfort zone to encourage residents through prayer, reading scripture, and playing guitar for them. One example of how the infirmary can be an uncomfortable experience is how team member Luke Nelson read multiples Psalms to a man who could not speak, or sign. The man stared the whole time, but Luke rolled with the punches and put a smile on the man’s face.
Later that day, back at the CCCD campus, we had another great opportunity of teaching chapel for the kids. Rachael Stiteler orchestrated a spectacular skit about the wall of Jericho. Will Harahan, Luke Hanson, Jack Ross, and
Christina Moore taught what we had gathered from devotions throughout the week. Aaron Johnson led devotions tonight, continuing the theme of worship. After devotions, we ate cupcakes to celebrate Luke Nelson’s birthday. Today he turned the big 1-6. All together, today was successful and united. Continue praying for our team and to finish the week strong.

God bless, Eric + the birthday boy 🎂
