Blog Post # 4

Today started off much like yesterday. Our team was awake by 8AM and off to have another hearty breakfast to jumpstart the day. We continued our projects from yesterday with a couple of new ones added. We were instructed to dig a new trench in the ground to pour the cement for a wall to be built while the rest of our team picked up right where we left off.

We were blessed with another sunny morning, right up until an hour before lunch. The rain came and it poured! This wasn't going to stop us from finishing though. We came together and we finished right before we broke for lunch!

The rain continued to pour while we enjoyed lunch together. The rain stayed through the late afternoon and actually put a damper on getting back out to the worksite. But if there's one thing that we've come to understand with our Jamaica trips, it's that we always need to be patient and flexible, knowing that plans could change at any moment.

Another opportunity for us to play with the kids and students here on the campus came right as the rain ceased. God's timing is incredible! Our team headed out to play soccer, basketball, and just sign with the deaf students. It has been incredible to see the number of our students using and applying what they've learned about sign language to serve and love on the students at CCCD.

We wrapped up the evening together as a team with devotions and a time of worship where we were reminded to humble ourselves before the Lord.

Please pray for servant hearts and good health through the remainder of the week!
