Day 2 and 3 Recap!

Thanks for tuning in with us again! It means a lot for us that you guys are wanting to support us in SO many ways, including wanting to follow a long with the story God is writing here in Jamaica. One of the ways you can support us is in prayer for one of our students Johnny Weidman. We were climbing "Big Tree" which is one of our routine activities here at CCCD. Johnny ended up landing wrong on a root on the ground as he was getting down and he broke his leg. We were blessed to have Erin (our partnering missionary here) and Katie take him to the nearby hospital right away where he was able to take x-rays, and meet with a radiologist and an orthopedic surgeon. He is doing great and will most likely need surgery when we get back to the US. He has a nice big soft cast on and is going back to get a hard cast Friday. He has been a trooper and is in great spirits despite everything. Please pray for him though to heal quickly and for the doctors to be effective. We'll keep you...

Day 4

Today we got a head start on the work day, where we continued with the painting and concrete. We started a sidewalk along the back of the classrooms for an emergency exit, where we will continue tomorrow. We also poured concrete in the columns that we made for the staircase that we will hopefully finish tomorrow. The paint crew began painting the outside of our dorms. Then we went to "big tree" and had a BBQ cookout. We didn't have a lot time with the kids today, but tomorrow we will be able to spend more time with them. Hope you enjoy the video and the pictures! Day 1

We're here! It's been a long day of travel, but we're praising God for safety and the opportunity that we have to be actually here! We've been looking forward to this for months. So here's our first blog entry, a little recap of the day by Katie and Joey Finn. YouTube Video
